Kandy (30 Minutes)
Kandy is located in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic one of the most sacred places of worship by Buddhists all over the world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988. The Kandy Esala Perahera takes place annually in the month of August where thousands of drummers and dancers accompanying a parade of ornamented elephants perform in the streets of Kandy during the festival days.
