Our story

Ranjith K. Perera is the founder of Winson Films and is a Sri Lankan Film/ Teledrama producer and documentary director. He started his career in the travel industry and having developed a keen interest in cinema from young days, he entered into the film industry in 1992 and produced feature films, teledrama series and short films.

He has also organized a number of foreign film weeks in Sri Lanka and abroad. He has currently diversified his career as a director of documentary films which mainly focus on archeology, culture and history. With his experience in the travel field and the film industry, he fused both of these to create Sri Lanka’s first ever Travel Directory on DVD format. It was solely his idea and comprises of all sorts of tourist essentials.
